How We Research

Every spec, price, and capacity figure on this site comes from manufacturer documentation, official product pages, and verified retailer listings — not secondhand roundups or estimates. When a product is discontinued or a manufacturer updates a spec sheet, we flag it directly in the article rather than leaving outdated numbers live.

We're transparent about the limits of that approach: we research and cross-verify published data rather than running our own physical lab tests. Where a claim depends on real-world variables (runtime, charging speed, solar output), we say so explicitly and show our math rather than presenting a single number as gospel.

Ratings and Rankings

Our star ratings and "best of" rankings reflect editorial judgment based on published specifications, price-to-capacity value, battery chemistry and cycle life, warranty coverage, and how a product fits its intended use case. We don't accept payment for favorable reviews or higher rankings, and no manufacturer sees or approves an article before it publishes.
